Season 6 of Dancing With The Stars will be Karina Smirnoff’s fourth season on the show. Her debut season was an instant success as she and her celebrity partner Mario Lopez finished second overall. Her professional career outside of DWTS is a long list of Championships and Finals appearances among the best in the world of competitive ballroom dancing. Ranked second in the world when she was actively competing, Karina is easily the highest ranked professional on Dancing With The Stars. This season, she will partner with R&B star Mario.
Mario is a multi-platinum selling R&B/Pop singer best known for his hits “Just a Friend (2002) and “Let Me Love You.” He has been nominated in almost every music award. His appearance in movies such as Step Up only increase his fame.
The last time Karina partnered with someone named Mario, she took him to the Finals. Mario is in good hands as is Karina. The music and hip-hop background can only help Mario find his way to the top. Despite her law degree, Karina is a softy. She has often let the celebrity run the show. When she took charge, Mario Lopez began taking first place week after week. It boggles the mind that a celebrity think they can teach the number 2 in the world of Latin dancing how to dance.
