DWTS Couple Profile: Kristi and Mark

Making his second season on Dancing With The Stars is Mark Ballas all the way from London, England but born in good ol’USA. Born from two of the biggest names in dance, Mark began his performing career at the age of 4 when he moved to London, England. DWTS’ youth movement started when Julianne Hough shook the floors on Hollywood with a first place debut on Season 4. Then her brother Derek moved into the 4th spot when he debut on Season 5. Mark may make an even bigger splash on Season 6. You see, Mark is a long time friend and partner with Julianne and her brother Derek. They’ve all trained under his parents Shirley and Corky Ballas. And add to that, his partner is Kristi Yamaguchi.
Kristi, as anyone who’s heart beats American knows, is an Olympic Gold Medalist and World Champion figure skater. She is in every hall of fame that exist for figure skating. It wasn’t just her skating performance that won the hearts and minds of Americans. Kristi’s warm personality and professionalism is a stark contrast to some of the controversy that have surrounded the recent Olympic Figure Skating world. Her recent projects includes the Always Dream Foundation benefiting children’s charities.
The pairing of this power couple will send chills to everyone in DWTS Season 6. Everyone that have put on skates as a career have finished no less than first place on DWTS. Mark’s job will be easy. Kristi will just have to get use to more friction under her feet. The other contestants will have to get use to watching from the sidelines as this perfect match is going to the top.
